As a Barclays Developer, you will be part of the Product Control IT, which develops applications and provides IT support to the bank's Product Control function. Your accountabilities include covering multiple sites across all business lines. The main functional areas covered are P&L and balance sheet reporting to Product Control and Finance, Independent Price Verification (IPV), MI reporting to senior management, and Adjustment and Provisioning functionality.

What will you be doing?
- Analysing and handling the development of java work related to project deliverable
- Working in a global team model following agile practices
- Working with QA team members
- Running SIT and UAT cycles
- Imparting innovative, timely and acceptable application solutions
- Conveying knowledge transfer and mentoring junior members of the team
- Providing L3 production support for critical issues or need basis
What we're looking for:
- Ability to analyse requirements, provide estimates, develop performant java code
- Capability to innovate and make solutions or continuous improvements in application
- Expertise in Core Java, solid grasp of multi-threading and messaging
- Versed with Spring/hibernate/coherence or equivalent stack
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Prior experience in investment banking sector
- Understanding of finance and operational process flows
- Familiarity with Agile SDLC concepts and knowledge of Scrum/Kanban Agile SDLC methodology
