JOB DESCRIPTION


You as part of Europe Banking Business Management team will work to optimize business performance by helping to drive key initiatives. You will act as trusted advisors to Business/Group Heads, and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. The role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from business to business, in line with the priorities of the different lines of business.

You and the global team will work to strategically manage capital, drive growth and efficiencies, maintain financial reporting and proactively manage risk. By providing information, analysis and recommendations to improve results and drive decisions, teams ensure the company can navigate all types of market conditions while protecting our fortress balance sheet.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as the key team member to navigate revenue growth strategy and business priorities
  • Produce strategic and financial presentations for management meetings and business reviews
  • Oversee client prioritization and pipeline management across various product lines
  • Work with regional/global business management team in delivery of regional/global deliverables
  • Partner closely with functional groups to formulate and deliver the risk and control agenda for the business
  • Work with the planning and analysis, strategy and central team(s) to support accurate business analytics, financials and forecasts
  • Project manage existing and new business initiatives and complete in a timely manner, whilst handling ad-hoc requests

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving skills with an ability to work independently, multi-task and dynamically prioritize or adapt with ever-changing and sometimes conflicting demands
  • Investigative mind-set, able to see issues at both a high-level and in detail, and understand applicability across the business
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving & process re-engineering skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Good judgment, maturity and poise to identify risks and escalate where required
  • Fluency in English is essential for the role.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • University degree in a Finance or Business related discipline, coupled with relevant experience within the Financial Services industry
  • Fluency in other languages is helpful, but not mandatory
