Head Chef - Fýri Resort, Hemsedal [Norway]

In order to create a world-class resort, with dining experiences, we believe in close-knit teams with the goal of creating customers that wants to return to us. These teams are guided and developed by Managers who have great passion for the subject. The team leaders are driven by development and see their teams as their most important resources on the journey ahead.

Now we are looking for you as Head chef to lead this team.

The Head Chef (HC) is responsible for the kitchen operations and the dining experience at all Fýri's F&B departments (Restaurant LIV, Liv Bar, Roa, the banquets and our Pool Vlub). This applies to breakfast, lunch and dinner. The responsibility includes both the guest experience, the employee experience and the financial goals set for the business.

The role is operationally focused, which means that the majority of HC's working time is devoted to planning the kitchen's operations. The most important function HC has at Fýri is to maintain a high presence with his team to coach and lead a higher NPS and NMI. The proportion of administrative hours versus operations can change depending on the season, changes in work distribution are decided by the F&B Manager based on the needs of the business.

  • HC is expected to be well informed about the booking situation up to 3 months in advance to ensure the experience of both guests and employees.
  • Inform and make adjustments in staffing, as well as the key figures budgeted for efficiency.
  • We believe that you, who have experience in management as well as the ability to build strong teams and have good knowledge from the culinary profession with an eye for the visual, are a perfect fit with us.
  • With your leadership experience, you will lift your team forward. Through close leadership, you see and take care of their different strengths.
  • With your good collaboration skills, you facilitate the building of strong ties across departments, which creates a unified destination.

You report directly to the F&B Manager and are responsible for your team with everything from key figures, your employees and their development, as well as helping to develop the experience and strategies to achieve the goals.
