Eliot is the Equity deal processing application at GBIS for all equity trading activities (deal booking, front office position, product definition for Equity Listed & OTC products, regulatory report, etc).
The main component is EDS which data service layer that provides position and product definition to all Equity traders at GBIS. Due to its positioning in the deal processing EDS is a key component for all trading activities (deal booking, front office position, product definition for Equity Listed & OTC products, etc). Another critical Eliot component is GUS in charge of the booking of all the market executions. Last, our mission involves the ambitious Eliot transformation projects to replace existing frameworks to new microservice architecture.
Specifically, you will be required to:
- Conduct studies and assess impact analysis to answer several projects;
- As one of the main contact with the Business, writing specifications and organizing tests is required;
- Review business requirements to ensure quality of requirements;
- Understand client’s priorities of projects and requests. Assess client needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to prioritize immediate business needs and recommends options, risks and cost vs. Benefits;
- Conduct feasibility studies and draft proposals for evaluation by appropriate users and managers. Develop and assist in the presentation of business cases;
- Write and communicate functional requirements for the implementation of business solutions;
- Coordinate with other teams for delivering functional requirements;
- Define test strategy along with detailed test cases and coordinate to have test results validated during user acceptance testing;
- Work with various development teams and users to ensure that the needs and builds are done as expected and within time and budget.
Profile required
- Knowledge on Investment banking & capital markets on equity derivatives;
- Comfortable with SQL to query data and understand existing stored procedures;
- Experience in writing functional specifications, defining the testing strategy and performing quality functional testing;
- Good ability to understand & explain business process to developers;
- University diploma.

- Good command of English, both written and spoken. French would be a good plus;
- Experience in Agile methodology is an advantage.
